Is England coach Eddie Jones feeling the pressure of losing successive games for the first time in his tenure as England coach?
Jones has selected his match day 23 which will face Ireland at Twickenham on Saturday in the final game for England in this year’s Six Nations.
With Ireland looking for the Grand Slam, Eddie Jones has named a number of changes to the side that lost in France on Saturday.
George Ford has more noticeably been dropped to the bench with the Saracens pair Wigglesworth and Farrell starting the game at 9 and 10 respectively. Ben Teo also moves to 12 with Joseph starting the game at 13.
The England Coach has also taken a risk on Wasps winger Elliot Daly who had a protective boot on earlier on the week as a precaution as he comes back from injury- without even featuring for his club side Wasps since December. Daly’s Wasps teammate James Haskell also starts the game alongside Chris Robshaw as England look to rectify their breakdown issues.
Saracens duo Kruis and Itoje start a Six Nations game together for the first time this year also.
It’s not just the back line that has reshuffled, Captain Dylan Hartley has returned as hooker to the starting line-up after overcoming an injury that saw him miss Saturday’s loss in “Le Crunch” with Saracen’s and Lions player Jamie George retuning to the bench.
Karl Sinckler also starts the game with Joe Launchbury somewhat surprisingly dropping to the bench.
With the host of changes Eddie Jones has made he will be looking for a much improved performance from his side as Ireland look to be crowned Grand Slam Champions on St Patrick’s day at Twickenham.
